Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
The ICT Department at Guangyang Secondary School builds tomorrow's digital champions where technology meets purpose. Through our comprehensive digital education approach, we empower students to become confident, responsible digital citizens who excel in collaborative learning. Our ICT Partners model ensures seamless technology integration across all subjects, enabling effective digital tool usage throughout students' academic journey. Guided by the EdTech Masterplan 2030, we transform students into skilled digital learners mastering Digital Safety and Security, Digital Responsibility, and Device and Software Operations. By integrating cyberwellness into CCE lessons alongside hands-on experiences and community-wide initiatives, we develop essential 21st Century Competencies for future success.
Key Programmes
Digital Literacy
Conducted immediately after students receive their Personal Learning Devices (PLD), our intensive digital literacy workshop builds foundational skills through engaging hands-on activities. Students master essential PLD routines while developing collaborative work abilities, emerging as confident digital learners ready for teamwork. As they cultivate beneficial habits like proper digital information management, students simultaneously strengthen their 21st Century Competencies, particularly Information skills, establishing a robust foundation for lifelong digital learning and academic success.
Cyberwellness Education
Our comprehensive cyberwellness curriculum, integrated into CCE lessons, develops thoughtful digital citizens who make responsible online choices. Through real-world scenarios and our Safer Internet Day initiative featuring peer-led discussions and school-wide screen-free weekend commitments, students build critical thinking skills to navigate digital challenges with empathy. This collaborative approach empowers students to foster supportive online communities while demonstrating care, responsibility, and resilience against cyber threats.
