The Leave of Absence (LOA) scheme is to enable Singapore Citizen (SC) and Permanent Resident (PR) students accompanying their parents on overseas postings to retain their existing school places and to rejoin the school after returning to Singapore.
To be granted LOA, student must fulfil all 3 of the following criteria:
• An SC or PR.
• Presently studying in a Singapore school.
• Accompanying parent on an overseas posting with the intention of rejoining the school after returning to Singapore.
The school will charge an annual nominal fee for a child on LOA. As a guide, the annual LOA fee for secondary schools will be at least $60.

The school will get in touch with parents on the payment details after the LOA is approved.
LOA period is for a maximum of 12 months in a calendar year. Student will need to inform the school in November if he/she wishes to renew the LOA for another year. The LOA status will expire if students chooses not to renew.
