At Guangyang Secondary School, our Character and Citizenship Education department nurtures students into lifelong learners and active contributors to society. Grounded in Emerged 21st Century Competencies and social-emotional skills, we emphasise our core values of respect, responsibility, care, grit, and integrity through meaningful experiences that equip students to manage themselves, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Character & Values Education 

Our comprehensive programme integrates Social and Emotional Learning, Values in Action, and Elective Modules to develop well-rounded citizens. Students gain competencies in self-awareness, relationship management, and responsible decision-making while serving community partners and exploring diverse learning pathways. Through these authentic experiences, they demonstrate our core values of respect, responsibility, care, grit, and integrity, preparing them for meaningful contributions to society.

National Education 

This programme nurtures students' sense of identity, belonging, and responsibility by equipping them with knowledge of Singapore's history, realities, and challenges. Through meaningful learning experiences reflecting on heritage, diversity, and independence, students develop critical thinking, social awareness, and reflection skills while demonstrating values of respect, resilience, and responsibility. These experiences prepare them to engage with local and global issues and contribute to a united Singapore.
